Dhaka Theater golden jubilee's time changes today

One of the prolific theater troupes of the country, Dhaka Theater will celebrate its 50 years on July 29.

To celebrate the group's founding anniversary, a year-long festival has been arranged. The festival will begin today (July 28), at the Experimental Theatre Hall, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) 

Due to the gathering of several political parties today (July 28), the opening ceremony of the year-long Golden Jubilee of Dhaka Theater will be held at 7 pm instead of the scheduled 5 pm at the Experimental Theater Hall, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA).

The play "Prachya" will start staging at 8pm instead of 7pm. The news was confirmed by one of the founders of the group, Freedom Fighter and eminent cultural personality Nasir Uddin Yusuff, to The Daily Star.

"We sincerely apologise to the visitors and guests for this unintended change in timings," he shared. "We hope that people will understand, and attend the festival according to rescheduled timings and make our event a successful one."
