Celebrated elocutionist Shimul Mustapha's solo recitation programme, "Jontronar Megh Brishti Jhor", will be held today (November 4) at 7 pm, at the National Theatre Hall, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. 

In association with Youth Bangla Cultural Foundation, Shimuler Pathshala Online Abritti O Promito Uchcharon Proshikkhon, the 11th installment of the event is organised by Boikunthi Abritti Academy. 

"Due to the pandemic, we were unable to arrange the event last year," the artiste told The Daily Star.

"Since 2010, every year in October, before winter arrives, we arrange the event as a warm up, while in December, we arrange an open space event at Rabindra Shorobor, where I recite for seven long hours." 

The elocutionist is known for his powerful voice, reciting Rabindra, Nazrul and contemporary poems.
