Akshay Kumar's next film will focus on sex education
The Khiladi of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar is famous for making films that have a social awareness message, such as "Toilet: Ek Prem Katha" and "Padman". For his next project, the dashing star has taken it upon himself to teach young Indians about the importance of proper sex education.
Akshay Kumar announced the news during an in-conversation panel at the Red Sea International Film Festival. The "Sooryavanshi" actor wants Indian schools to prioritise sex education.
"It's a very important subject. In a lot of places, it is not there. We have all kinds of subjects we learn in school and sex education is one topic I would like all the schools in the world to have. It's going to take time to make this project, it will probably be released in April or May," said Akshay.
Earlier on, the actor mentioned that he likes doing social-films, as they give him more satisfaction than commercial movies.
Several well-known Indian celebrities, including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Kajol, Shah Rukh Khan, and Priyanka Chopra also appeared at the event. The Red Sea International Film Festival kicked-off on December 1, and will run till December 10. Ranbir Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan are also scheduled to visit the festival later this week, for their own in-conversation panels.
