‘Better Call Saul’ fails to win a single award at the Emmys
The Emmy Awards 2022 came and went, highlighting the best of the best in TV. However, one particular fanbase has been left with a bad taste in their mouth, after "Better Call Saul" failed to win even a single award at the Emmys.
While the series had been nominated in multiple categories—particularly in the 'Outstanding Drama Series', 'Outstanding Lead Actor', and 'Outstanding Supporting Actress' categories—it was unable to go home with a win on TVs biggest night.
Despite having both an audience and critic score above 96 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, it seems the Television Academy believed shows like "Squid Game", "Ted Lasso" and "Ozark" were the more worthy candidates for TV's highest honour.
"Better Call Saul" recently concluded its sixth and final season last month, with the showrunner, Vince Gilligan, confirming that he would not revisit the "Breaking Bad" universe again for a while.
