Renowned filmmaker Anjan Dutt is all set to captivate audiences with his upcoming film, "Chalchitra Ekhon", based on his personal memories with legendary director Mrinal Sen. While director Srijit Mukherjee is also working on a project based on Mrinal Sen, titled, "Padatik", Anjan Dutt promises to present a unique perspective through his film.

Anjan has been teasing fans with various updates about "Chalchitra Ekhon" for some time, and recently revealed that the film is in its final stage of post-production. The anticipation is building as the release date draws closer.

Sharing a heartfelt picture with Mrinal Sen in his Facebook post, Anjan wrote, "I am now in the final stages of post-production for my film 'Chalchitra Ekhon'. This film is a completely personal venture, produced by me and my son Neel Dutt. I am not telling any fictional story. It is just a collage of my experiences with the man and the city... as spontaneously as possible. I am also convinced that most audience will not be comfortable. Since many do not have much idea of my past. Yet I believe there is an audience in the world who care for a certain kind of personal cinema. A small amount but big enough for me."

In his candid post, Dutt further revealed, "The sheer joy of being radically spontaneous is rare. The only reason it has been possible is because we financed it ourselves. No typical producer would have allowed us to do what we did. None of them has ever seen Mrinal Sen's Chaalchitra. They would have forced us to be far more dramatic. I cannot be sentimental or over dramatic in my tribute to my mentor, Mrinal Sen. I have to be as real and honest as possible."

Known for his diverse contributions to Bengali cinema, Anjan Dutt has brought forth a range of captivating films that have resonated with audiences. From "Aami Ashbo Phire" and "Madly Bengali" to "Cholo Let's Go", "Dutta Vs Dutta", and "Bong Connection", he has consistently pushed the boundaries of storytelling. Now, he promises to delve into uncharted territory once again with "Chalchitra Ekhon", surpassing even his previous endeavors.
