‘Dorod’ proves films can become superhits beyond Eid: Shakib Khan
A special screening of "Dorod", starring Shakib Khan and directed by Anonno Mamun, has recently taken place at the SKS Star Cineplex in Mohakhali. The grand event was sponsored by Acnol, a leading health and hygiene brand, under the patronage of Shakib Khan's business venture, Remark-Herlan.
Following the screening yesterday, Shakib Khan shared his thoughts on the film's impressive performance. "'Dorod' has achieved this year's highest opening collection," claimed the "Toofan" actor.
"This proves that films can become superhits even outside the Eid festivals. In fact, many of my blockbuster hits, like 'Priya Amar Priya' and 'Koti Takar Kabin', were released outside Eid and became massive successes. 'Dorod' has once again shown that there is great potential for superhit films outside traditional festival seasons."
When asked about collaborating with foreign actresses, the "Priyotoma" star revealed, "Scheduling is always a challenge. Since I work on only two or three films a year, I require a longer commitment from my co-stars. Our local actresses are incredibly busy with multiple projects, but once schedules align, we'll collaborate again."
The screening was attended by an array of stars, including Puja Chery, Siam Ahmed, Prarthana Fardin Dighi, Orchita Sporshia, Samonty Shoumi, and Rukaiya Jahan Chamak, alongside director Anonno Mamun.
