Indian Censor Board praises 'Shurongo'
Afran Nisho and Tama Mirza starrer "Shurongo" is currently running on its third week since its premiere. The audience is still eagerly visiting the halls to watch the film.
Starting from next week, "Shurongo" will be screened in over 50 theatres across the country.
Furthermore, more exciting news awaits the film's team, as news unfolds of the Indian Censor Board singing their praises for the film.
The news was confirmed to The Daily Star by the director of "Shurongo", Raihan Rafi. He said, "The Indian Censor Board complimented the film, which is great news as a director. They really liked 'Shurongo'."
"The Bangladeshi audience is still very eager about the film and I hope that continues till next week, as the number of screenings increase. We're very grateful to our audiences".
The director also added, "People from our neighbouring countries also want to watch the film, and we want to take Bangladeshi cinema to the global audiences."
So, when is "Shurongo" being released in India? According to Raihan Rafi, if all goes well, the film might be released by July 21. Further confirmation of the release date will be provided later.
Both the stars of the film, Nisho and Tama, are overjoyed at the prospect of the film's release in India, hoping that Indian audiences reciprocate the same level of love that the local fans have shown.
Under Raihan Rafi's direction, in "Shurongo", Tama portrayed the role of Moyna and Nisho played her estranged husband, Masud.
