Priyanka Chopra can't shoot in any part of the world
The shooting of Priyanka Chopra's "Heads of State" has been halted due to the Screen Actors Guild strike. Idris Elba and John Cena also star in the project.
The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) has declared a strike. The union and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, which represents studios including Walt Disney and Netflix, were unable to establish a new labour agreement. Actors are unable to film for their projects due to the strike.
According to Bollywood Life, Priyanka, a SAG-AFTRA member, cannot work on any film or television project anywhere in the world. This will continue until a new agreement is reached and the strike expires.
Through an Instagram post, Priyanka Chopra expressed her support for the ongoing SAG AFTRA strike. The actor wrote on Instagram, "SAG. AFTRA. Strong.I stand with my union and colleagues. In solidarity, we build a better tomorrow."
It is expected that the strike would last until the end of September. It is also claimed that the actors' walkout would halt all production of films and scripted television shows in the United States, except independent works not protected by labour contracts with unions.
It is also believed that streaming services such as Netflix and Prime Video would continue to provide local language shows produced in areas such as Korea and India, but that production in Hollywood has been halted.
We have to wait and watch when the strike ends and the performers can resume work, but for the time being, the industry is completely shut down, and this is the first time in 63 years that such a large strike has occurred.
