Raihan Rafi's "Shurongo" has become a victim of piracy as the hall print version of the film has been spread on various movie-related websites, including YouTube and Facebook.

Recently, the movie was released in Kolkata on July 21 to a wonderful reception. However, the movie's sudden piracy has created confusion about how it was leaked. Some people speculate that it got leaked from the theatres of Kolkata, while others suggest it was done in Bangladeshi theatres.

"Shurongo" film editor, Simit Ray Antor, shared his view on Facebook regarding the piracy of the film.

"After carefully examining the pirated copy of 'Shurongo', I discovered that it was not recorded during a regular show because there was no audience reaction such as laughter or loud words. It proves that the movie wasn't recorded during a live screening of the show," said the film's editor.

Simit Ray Antor revealed that the video was taken using a tripod. The camera did not move for even a single second.

"This demonstrates that a movie theater is complicit in piracy. It is impossible to record a two-and-a-half-hour movie in an empty cinema hall unless the cinema hall authorities are involved," added the director.

The film's editor also pointed out that the film was pirated in Bangladesh rather than India.

"The Indian and Bangladeshi versions differ in several ways. One of them is the Pepsi title card, which was missing from the Indian version," said Simit.

Raihan Rafi told a local media that he removed all YouTube copies through copyright claims. However, some versions on Facebook are still circulating, and they are also attempting to block these.

"Shurongo" is being screened across 50 halls across the country. The film also hit 31 theaters across West Bengal.

"Shurongo" stars the dynamic duo of Afran Nisho and Tama Mirza, whose on-screen chemistry enthralled the audience experience.
