Stars usher in Baishakh with heartfelt reflections

The Bangla calendar has turned a new year and bidding goodbye to 1431, we welcome 1432, bringing with it fresh energy, renewed hopes, and a collective dream of new beginnings.
While people across the country celebrate Pahela Baishakh in person with vibrant festivities, social media has also become a powerful platform for expressing one's inner world — and this year, many from the entertainment industry joined in to share their festive spirit with fans online. Let's take a look at how some of our favourite stars welcomed the Bangla New Year on social media.
Shakib Khan kept it simple yet warm, sharing a video to wish everyone: "Shubho Noboborsho" (Happy New Year).
Jaya Ahsan, radiant in a colourful Baishakhi sari, posted a dazzling photo with the caption, "Shubho Noboborsho 1432."
Though actress Azmeri Haque Badhon had been quiet on social media for a few months, she returned with a strikingly personal New Year message– "Hello, world! Shubho Noboborsho! Just checking in to say, I'm still here. Still living at my mother's home, still driving my father's car. Life remains simple on the outside, but quietly transformative within. I've taken a step back from social media for a while — and honestly, it brought me peace.
I'm a self-made soul. The path I've walked hasn't been easy, but it's been mine. I own my flaws, and I honor my growth. Every success I've had, I've earned. Your opinions don't shake me — I know who I am and what it's taken to get here.
No regrets. Every experience has been a lesson, every step a part of the story that made me who I am today.
I'm holding myself together. I'm still going. And I will keep going — with grace, with grit, and with heart. Wishing you love, light, and good health. Take care of yourselves."
Pori Moni, reflecting on the past, reshared her post from last year, which read: "You may not be the reason for someone's joy, but don't be the cause of their unrest either. A deep sigh in the chest speaks volumes." In 1431, she had also posted endearing pictures with her son, captioned: "Our Baishakhi evening. Noboborsho 1431. My son, life with you is a fairytale."
Rafiath Rashid Mithila quoted from a timeless poem, echoing the spirit of renewal– Muchhe Jak Glani, Ghuche Jak Jora, Agnisnane Shuchi Hok Dhora, Botshorer Aborjona Dur Hoye Jak, Esho Hey Baishakh Esho Esho! The verse loosely translates into English as "Let the sorrow wash away, let the decay be gone. Let the earth be cleansed in the fire of rebirth... Let the clutter of the old year be swept aside. Come, O Baishakh... come."
In a striking red-and-white sari, Mehazabien Chowdhury charmed fans with sweet snapshots simply captioned, "Baishakh 1432"
Sabnam Faria, with her signature humour, wrote: "First surprise of the year! Came to see the alpana, but it seems only the speed breakers have colour now — nowhere else!"
Abdun Noor Shajal greeted fans with a brief but cheerful: "Shubho Noboborsho 1432."
And Peya Jannatul beautifully captured the essence of the occasion: "A new year begins, a new light of hope. Amidst the busyness of life, taking a moment to connect with one's roots — that's what Noboborsho means to me. Shubho Noboborsho!"
As the new year unfolds, may the spirit of Pahela Baishakh — a celebration of joy, tradition, and reflection — inspire us all to step forward with hope, courage, and love.
