Dengue death toll crosses 200 as 16 more die

Sixteen dengue patients died in different hospitals across the country in the 24 hours ending this morning,
Of those, 14 were in Dhaka.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. With the new deaths, the total number of deaths in dengue this year rose to 201, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
At least 2,418 dengue patients were hospitalised in the 24 hours, of which 1,162 were in Dhaka.
With the cases, the total number of dengue cases rose to 37,688. Of those, 22,349 are from outside Dhaka.
Some 7,927 dengue patients are still undergoing treatment, of which 4,646 are in Dhaka.
The total number of deaths in dengue was 281 last year while the total number of cases was 62,382.
