Dengue death toll crosses 500
13 more people die, 2,070 hospitalised in 24 hours

The death toll from dengue this year has crossed the 500-mark as another 13 new deaths were reported in the last 24 hours till 8:00am today.
In the meantime, a total of 2,070 people were hospitalised, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. With this, the total number of fatalities in dengue rose to 506 and the total cases to 1,06,429.
Of the 13 deceased, eight were from the Dhaka city.
