Dengue fever: 9 more die; 1,755 hospitalised

The country today saw nine more deaths and 1,755 more hospitalisations due to dengue fever in the last 24 hours.
With the new deaths, the total number of deaths this year rose to 155, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. At least 1,755 dengue patients were hospitalised in the last 24 hours till this morning, of whom 910 were from outside Dhaka.
Some 5,937 dengue patients are still undergoing treatment across the country.
A total of 21,455 dengue patients were released from hospitals.
Total number of deaths in dengue was 281 last year while the total number of cases was 62,382, of whom 23,162 were outside Dhaka, according to the DGHS.
