A video of the incident went viral that shows the victims rolling and crying on the floor at the Dhaka airport after they found valuables including gold ornaments and mobile phones were missing from their luggage.

The four victim passengers complained that their valuables were lost after collecting luggage from the belt on October 15, said Group Captain Kamrul Islam, executive director of HSIA.

The four were carrying five pieces of luggage which were transferred to hold baggage from cabin baggage as those were oversized and overweight, he said.
