Go bright!
When it comes to choosing colours for your kitchen, white, grey, blue, and green really shine. Each of these colours helps create a warm, and welcoming space. Colours such as red are believed to stimulate the appetite and are excellent option for the kitchen.
Red is incredibly versatile and there are multiple shades that would really pop in a kitchen, either on the cabinets or the walls. Most people start their days in the kitchen, and white can really energise a room.
It makes you feel fresh and clean, and an all-white kitchen will really wake you up the minute you step in. You can have more fun with your countertops and backsplash if you choose bright colours and designs for your white kitchen.
Grey is neutral that's been taking centre stage lately in many homes. It is often classified as being cold, but with the right shade, it can work wonders in a kitchen. The best of all, it pairs beautifully with a wide array of other colours and is the perfect base to build upon in a kitchen.
Blue is another colour that works well in kitchens. When lighter shades of blue are used, they create a crispy, clean look and are recommended for walls, cabinets, or even celling. Blue is an invigorating colour and works best when used sparingly. Dark blues also work well in kitchens, but it's important to accent the rest of the room with other neutral tones.
Countertops today have a multi-coloured, rock-like look with palettes ranging from tan to blue. While it is important to consider your counter's colour when choosing a wall colour, that doesn't necessarily mean you need to match the counter's dominant colour exactly.
To find paint colours that work well with your stone, you can select one of the small flecks in the stone and use that for your paint. For a more dramatic look, choose a colour from the stone you would like to emphasise.
