THE QUINTESSENTIAL ‘BIRDIE’ … The Coppersmith Barbet is a small bird known for its unique call that sounds similar to a coppersmith striking metal with a hammer. Popular for its size and “cuteness”, the bird is commonly found in the Indian subcontinent and parts of Southeast Asia. It carves out holes inside a tree to build its nest.
