Hay Festival Dhaka on Nov 15-17
Hay Festival Dhaka will be held for the second time in the capital's Bangla Academy from November 15 to 17, providing a number of renowned foreign and local authors and artists the opportunity to hold dialogues.
Everyday three simultaneous sessions will be held. Moreover, a concert on Baul and traditional Bangla music will be held at Rabindra Sarabor's Mukta Mancha in Dhanmondi on November 16.
The star attraction of the literary feast will be Vikram Seth whose novel, A Suitable Boy, is widely acclaimed.
Philip Hensher, Syed Shamsul Haq, Nandita Das, Kamila Shamsie, Basharat Peer, Zafar Iqbal, Gillian Clarke, Kaiser Haq, Mohammad Hanif, Farah Ghuznavi, Shehan Karunatilaka, Selina Hossain, Mahmud Rahman, Anisul Hoque and Tahmima Anam will take part in various sessions.
Rooted in the Welsh town of Hay-on-Wye, Hay Festival is one of the best known and most loved literary events held worldwide where writers, poets, critics and artists from different continents come together for free exchange of ideas and expressions.
