A man died after a truck crashed into his motorcycle in Sreepur upazila of Gazipur today.

The deceased was identified as Ekhlas Uddin, 30, son of Safur Uddin of Madhya Badda village of Katiadi upazila of Kishoreganj.

Locals said the Maona-bound truck from Barmi hit the motorcycle on the Maona-Barmi regional highway in Telihati union around 1:00pm, leaving biker Ekhlas dead on the spot.

Joynal Abedin, officer-in-charge of Sreepur Police Station, said one person died after being hit by a truck. No one has been arrested in the incident.

Legal action will be taken in this regard, he added.
