Three children injured in Jashore crude bomb blast

Three children were injured in a crude bomb explosion in Jashore this morning after mistaking the device for a toy while playing.
The injured -- Sajib, 6, Khadija, 5, and Ayesha, 3, -- were rushed to Jashore 250 bed General Hospital. Later, Khadija was sent to Dhaka for better treatment.
The incident occurred around 8:00am near Chhotoner Mor in Shankarpur area.
According to family members, Khadija, a resident of the Golpata Mosque area, found the object and brought it home thinking it was a toy ball.
She was joined by Sajib and Ayesha, while playing with the object on an open field, it exploded.
Abul Hasanat, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station, said police had visited the site and were investigating the incident.
