Syeda Fawzia Ally passes away at 83
Syeda Fawzia Ally, a renowned educationist and former Principal of Chittagong College and Badrunnessa College, Dhaka, passed away on November 25 at the age of 83.
Daughter of Syed Mustafa Ali, niece of the celebrated writer Syed Mujtaba Ali, and sister of the late S M Ali, founding editor of The Daily Star, she was deeply admired for her contributions to education and society.
She passed away at 4:30 PM on November 25 while in hospice care, surrounded by loved ones. Her Namaz-e-Janaza was held on Tuesday, November 26, after Zohr prayers at Azad Masjid in Gulshan, and she was laid to rest at Banani graveyard.
Syeda Fawzia Ally is survived by her only daughter Rahnuma Islam Emma, son-in-law Shafiq, and granddaughter Khushnuma, along with her extended family who mourn her loss. Her family remembers her as a source of strength, wisdom, and love.
The qulkhwani will be held on Friday, November 29, after Asr prayers at Baitul Atik Kendriyo Jame Masjid in Baridhara.
The family requests prayers for her departed soul and expresses gratitude to all who have offered support during this time of grief.
