US ambassador in meeting with Awami League leaders

US Ambassador Peter Haas and the ruling Awami League leaders are holding a meeting at the AL party office.

According to party sources, the current political situation in the country and the upcoming elections are likely to be discussed during the meeting.

The US ambassador reached the party's office at Bangabandhu Avenue around 11:08am.

AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader, AL presidium member Lt Colonel Mohammad Farooq Khan (Retd), International Affairs Secretary Shammi Ahmed, Office Secretary Barrister Biplab Barua, Information and Research Affairs Secretary Salim Mahmud and Executive Member Mohammad Ali Arafat were present at the office.
