Kobi – Prince Mahmud ft. Elita Karim
Lyric & Tune: Prince Mahmud
Music Arrangement & Mastering: Pavel Areen
Elita Karim's latest single pours out the utmost affection of an admirer for a bohemian persona, whom she fondly addresses as Kobi. With all his free-spirited denial towards traditional norms, Kobi seems to be just perfect in the eyes of the singer. “I was really lucky to have a single in Prince Mahmud's 50th album!” said Elita. “I have been getting a lot of positive feedback since the release of the song. Many have told me that they have felt as if the song was about them. It's basically a lyric-based song, and I just can't thank Prince Mahmud enough for giving me the opportunity to sing such a beautifully written masterpiece!"
Hobeki? - Indalo
Lyrics: Zubair Hasan
Hobeki? is Indalo's take on reviving the not-so-long-ago social phenomenon Shubodh graffiti series. The rebellious motivation is carried on through the lyrics of this solo release by the psychedelic rock sensation. The term Hobeki?, initially was seen with the Shubodh graffiti in the streets of the capital. The primal sense of anxiety, mixed with the excitements of the thin possibilities of a revolution reflects crystal clear with this amazing composition. Indalo frontman Jon Kabir says, “It was a very interesting song to work on. It sounds radically different from the usual Indalo songs. But we had a lot of fun in the studio while recording it”. Saria Saguaro of Pretty Shitty Art did artwork for the YouTube video. Animations were done by Ahmed Intisher Fardeen.
Ghor – Prince Mahmud ft. Topu and Kona
Lyrics, tune & music: Prince Mahmud
Topu and Kona's latest release Ghor revolves around the sweet teenage romance of a school-going couple. The emotional exuberance during adolescence creates its own beautiful ecstasy for two young lovebirds. Lost in the trance, everything seems beautiful to them. Perhaps it takes them a little too long to learn the language of minds, but love, with all its innocence, inevitably sustains in the end. Singer Topu says, “I felt deeply attached to the lyrics of Ghor. My co-artist Kona also put her heart to it and sang splendidly. We also appeared in the music video, we enjoyed the times of our shooting. In total, it was a memorable project!”
