Salah demands answers from Egyptian FA

Liverpool and Egypt star Mohammad Salah questioned the Egyptian FA and asked why his messages are being ignored by the national body of football.

Problems surfaced after Salah had said that he felt insulted after he appeared in a team photo in Egypt national team’s official plane which was sponsored by Egypt’s official sponsor WE -- rival competitors to Salah’s own sponsor Vodafone.

The Liverpool star’s participation for the national team has now come under threat due to the unresolved image rights issue. Salah was supposed to be back in national team colours next month for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

Salah reiterated that he was not comfortable with the national team due to problems.

"It's normal that a football federation seeks to solve the problems of its players so they can feel comfortable," the player wrote on Twitter.

"But in fact, what I see is exactly the opposite. It is not normal that my messages and my lawyer's letters are ignored.

"I do not know why all this [is happening]? Do you not have time to respond to us?!”

Last month, after Salah said there "needs to be change" with the national team, the Egyptian FA manager Tharwat Sweilem dismissed it saying there was no issue with the player.

Salah’s agent also had his say regarding the matter on Twitter. "Enough is enough," he wrote. "We asked for guarantees regarding Mohamed’s wellbeing whilst with the national team, and assurances that the image rights violations wouldn’t happen again. That’s all. They have yet to respond."
