Following the Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) Player Draft last month, there has been a change to the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) squad.

Australia’s Brad Hogg will no longer be available for the 2017 season. TKR have replaced Hogg with Bangladesh’s off-spinning all-rounder Mehedi Hasan Miraz, who will be making his tournament bow, according to the official website of Caribbean Premier League.

Mehedi, 19, has played in seven Test matches and made his One-Day International (ODI) and T20i debuts in the recent series against Sri Lanka. He spent two years at the U-19 level, captaining Bangladesh to the 2014 World Cup in the UAE.

Mehedi took 19 wickets during his debut series against England in 2016, and helped his side defeat the tourists for the first time in Tests at Dhaka with six wickets in each innings.

Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was retained by Jamaica Tallawahs for this year’s edition of Caribbean T20 extravaganza.

‘যুবকরা এখনো জানে না ভোট কী। আমাদের আওয়ামী লীগের ভাইরা ভোটটা দিয়েছেন, বলে দিয়েছেন—তোরা আসিবার দরকার নাই, মুই দিয়ে দিনু। স্লোগান ছিল—আমার ভোট আমি দিব, তোমার ভোটও আমি দিব।’
