LFP will not accept Neymar's release clause, media reports

While the Neymar transfer saga continues, a new actor has entered the scene in the form of Liga de Fútbol Profesional (LFP), who are the responsible for administering the Spanish La Liga.

According to SPORT, the LFP are not going to allow Neymar’s release clause to be paid in their offices. The two primary reasons for this decision are due to Neymar’s contractual problems  and the potential situation where financial fair play rule is broken – Neymar’s signing on fee has currently been placed with a notary pending the player’s continual at Barcelona.

LFP president Javier Tebas said: “Although PSG didn't pay the clause we will denounce them. We advised the PSG president what we were going to do and we saw PSG's policy continue along the same line.

“They cannot make a number in which their commercial rights are greater than those of Real Madrid and Barcelona. Nobody believes this."

SPORT claims that it has found the information from their Barcelona sources and the club consider Neymar’s transfer to blocked at least provisionally.

Neymar, who came back to Barcelona on Tuesday evening, made no comments regarding the possibility of a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain.

AFP reports says that Neymar joked around with an image messaging app that superimposed a Spanish flag and a small plane on his tee-shirt -- suggesting he was indeed headed home to Barcelona.

The player landed in Barcelona just before 9:00pm local time (1900 GMT), taking a backdoor exit to avoid the dozens of journalists and a few supporters -- some wearing PSG shirts -- who had been awaiting his arrival.
