Chhayanaut's musical tribute to the National Poet

Marking the 41st death anniversary of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, Chhayanaut organised a programme featuring  solo and choral songs with recitations from the literary creations of the poet on  August 25.

The event set off with the choral song “Shubhro Samujjol Hey Chiro-Nirmol”.  Performance of choral songs “Joy Ananda Bhairav”, “Bhoboney Ashilo Otithi Shudur” and “Neerondhro Megh-e Megh-e Ondho Gogon” followed.

Several prominent and promising artistes -- Suman Majumder, Susmita Debnath Suchi, Bizon Chandra Mistry, Nasima Shaheen Fancy and Mohit Khan performed songs “Mago Chinmoyi Roop Dhorey Aaye”, “Shunno E Buk-e Pakhi Mor”, “Amar Biphol Poojanjoli”, “Ghumayechhey Phul Poth-er Dhulaye” and “Mor Na Mititey Asha” respectively.

Jannat-E-Ferdousi Lucky, Latifun Julio, Rezaul Karim, Promita Dey, Tanvir Ahmed, Kaniz Husna and Nabonita Chakraborty also rendered solos while Rafiqul Islam, Mahmuda Akhtar and Zarif Ikram recited at the programme. 

The event came to an end with the rendition of National Anthem.
