A motorcyclist and his pillion were killed when a lorry ran them over in airport road area at the port city of Chittagong this afternoon.

The deceased -- Rabbi Sheikh, 17, son of Shahid Sheikh from Pirojpur, and Alamin Sheikh, 26, son of Faruq Sheikh from Pirojpur -- were cousins by relation.

Md Rajib, a sub-inspector of EPZ Police Station, told The Daily Star that an oil-laden lorry hit the motorcycle from behind at around 1:15pm, leaving Rabbi dead on the spot.

Alamin was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where he was declared dead, Alauddin Talukdar, in-charge of the hospital’s police outpost said.
