If you've ever wanted to view stars, constellations, and planets of the night sky without ever having to go outside then look no further than Star Chart. It's a location (GPS) based application which helps to view all that is available in space. So from whichever viewing angle you see your phone from, the application will automatically show the stars or planets in that direction.

The starry sky background moves with respect to whichever direction you move your phone allowing you to view space from all angles. This in and of itself would have been a neat application to have, but Star Chart also allows you to view constellations, showing the recognisable patterns as you get close to them on the map. The application also comes with details regarding the stars and planets you pinpoint and how far you are from them. Not only that, but you can also zoom into planets and observe them in realistic details up close.

It's a neatly made application, with a lot of attention to detail which makes it a fun pastime. Not to mention it might even manage to pique one's curiosity about what's lying out there in the vastness of space.
