Dhk-Syl rail link cut as train derails in Kulaura
Dhaka’s rail link with Sylhet snapped after an oil wagon skidded off its tracks in Moulvibazar’s Kulaura this afternoon.
The oil tank wagon was empty and four of its wheels derailed near Boromchal Rail Station at 4:30pm, Kulaura Rail Station Master Mofizul Islam told our local correspondent.
Dhaka-bound Parabot Express and Sylhet-bound Paharika Express were delayed.
Local railway traffic Inspector Md Ataur Rahman told The Daily Star: " Relief train has already arrived at the spot and rescue work is going on, but it will take a few more hours".
