Padatik Natya Sangsad's 'Gohonjatra' to be staged in Kolkata

Padatik Natya Sangsad, one of the most popular theatre troupes in Bangladesh, will stage their much-acclaimed play Gohonjatra tomorrow in Kolkata. It will be brought to the stage as a part of the ongoing festival Lokoranga 2018, hosted at Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata. The play is written by Rubayet Ahmed and directed by Sudip Chakraborty, while the hour-long monologue is enacted by Shamsi Ara Syka. The story of the play revolves around the dangers of intolerance, violence, global political dynamics and the universal aspiration for peace and freedom.
