Bangladesh defeat Bhutan to make SAFF semis

Bangladesh began their SAFF Women Championship campaign with a 2-0 victory over Bhutan in a Group A encounter at the Sahid Rangashala in Biratnagar, Nepal today.
An outright win places Bangladesh in the last four with a match in hand following Bhutan's defeat at the hand of hosts Nepal in the tournament opener.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. Mishrat Jahan Mousumi opened the scoring for Bangladesh in the 46th minute with a headed goal. Late in the game, Sabina Khatun scored the second for Bangladesh with a sidefoot finish after a darting run through the centre.
