Rail service resumes on Bhairab-Kishoreganj-Mymensingh route
Rail communication on Bhairab-Kishoreganj-Mymensingh route resumed seven hours after its suspension following derailment of a mail train at Bhairab in Kishoreganj today.
The service restored on the route after a relief train managed to remove a derailed compartment from the rail tracks around 7:30pm, Ferdaus Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Bhairab Railway Police Station, told our Brahmanbaria correspondent.
Earlier in the day, a compartment of Chattogram-bound Nasirabad Mail Train from Jamalpur veered off the tracks at Bhairab Railway Station around 12noon, said AKM Kamruzzaman, station master of the railway station.
Following the derailment, three trains remained stuck at three different stations in Bhairab upazila, causing sufferings to the commuters.
