Minor boy crushed under wheels of train in Dhaka

An unidentified boy, aged around 11, was crushed under the wheels of a train near Cantonment Railway Station in Dhaka this morning.

The identity of the victim could not be known immediately, said Dhaka Railway Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rokib-ul-Hossain.

On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body around 8:30 am, said Akbar Hossain, sub-inspector of Airport Police Outpost.

Police suspected that the boy was killed falling from the speedy train, he added.

The body will be sent to Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy.
