Priyanka Chopra, Richard Madden to lead Amazon’s ‘Citadel’

Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden are set to headline Citadel, Anthony and Joe Russo’s upcoming thriller series for Amazon Studios.

Chopra and Madden are the first cast members to come aboard, announced by Amazon Studios during their TCA Winter Tour panel on Tuesday in Pasadena.

Amazon is calling Citadel a ‘global event multi-series’. Jonas and Madden will star in the US mothership edition of the series. Amazon also announced that a local language production of the franchise will originate from Mexico, in addition to the previously announced versions in Italy and India.

The Citadel franchise, a co-production with Midnight Radio, is an action-packed spy series. Josh Appelbaum, André Nemec, Jeff Pinkner, and Scott Rosenberg of Midnight Radio are the writers and executive producers. Moran, Mike Larocca, and Joe and Anthony Russo also serve as executive producers.
