Man stabbed to death in Mohammadpur

A man was found stabbed to death yesterday in the capital’s Mohammadpur area.

Md Wahiduzzaman, additional deputy commissioner of Tejgaon division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police, confirmed the matter to The Daily Star, adding they would investigate it to find out whether the murder was political or not.

The deceased is Suman Sikder, 25. No details about him could be known as of filing this report at 1:00am.

A police team rescued the man, who suffered stab injuries, from Rahim Bepari ghat of Mohammadpur around 8:00pm and took to him to Shaheed Suhwardy Medical College hospital where doctors declared him dead, said police.
