Striving to Change Education for the Better

Nation Digital Learning Competition 2020

Covid-19 has thrown the entire world off its norms, and education is also one of its victims. Students and teachers across the country at various levels are struggling to cope with the realities of online learning and teaching.

Out of the 4.5 crore students from the pre-primary to secondary level, many do not even have access to the internet. This is a problem that obviously needs to be solved, and soon. To that end, Interactive Cares, an artificial intelligence based e-learning, health, and legal services platform, is organising the "National Digital Learning Competition 2020". With the theme of "Be the next e-mentor", this competition is geared towards finding extraordinary ideas to make the teaching process more interesting, interactive, communicative and accessible.

The competition is set to take place in three categories. The "Academic" category comprises thirteen academic disciplines, the "Skill Development" category consists of eleven essential professional skills, and the "Co-curricular Activities" category is made up of seven different disciplines as well. Together, the competition will be divided into 30 segments and winners from each segment will move on to the later rounds.

After that, a 10-day "Virtual Boot Camp" will take place from September 15 to September 25, where participants will be asked to demonstrate their e-learning ideas and strategies. Pioneers of the field will conduct sessions to help develop and improve the ideas, to turn them into something that can make a real difference. This will be followed by a grand finale at the end of the month going into October, where participants will execute their ideas and conduct live classes themselves.

Speaking about the goal of the competition, Rare Al Samir, CEO of Interactive Cares, said, "Digital learning has become a vital part in our everyday life now. But our nation has not been able to adapt to it properly. Our competition is launched with the intention to discover proper digital learning methods from young talents so that society can be benefited."

The winners of this competition will receive a total prize money of BDT 1,00,000 along with the opportunity to learn from the best, as well as employment possibilities after the event. "National Digital Learning Competition 2020" is being organised by Interactive Cares, along with partners Analyzen, Bondstein, LegalSeba, Bangla Radio, Financial Express, LightCastle Partners, YSSE, and Jamuna TV. All proceeds collected from registration fees will be donated to Bidyanondo Foundation. SHOUT is the youth engagement partner for this event. Registration for the competition is still open and will end on midnight of September 12, 2020.
