The field offices of tax are going to organise a month-long show at their respective offices in order to enable taxpayers to submit their income tax returns as the national board of revenue will not hold tax fair for the second consecutive year.

The tax authority said its tax offices will open booths on their premises on November 1 and they will remain open until November 30, the deadline for furnishing income tax returns without penalty.

"We will provide services to taxpayers," said NBR Chairman Abu Hena Md Rahmatul Muneem at a press conference at the NBR headquarters in Dhaka today.

He said income tax returns would be received uninterruptedly during office hours in 649 circles under 31 tax regions across the country.

The taxpayers, like previous years, will get acknowledgement receipt of submission of their tax returns instantly after furnishing the documents.

Taxpayers will also get scope to register and re-register for taxpayer identification numbers electronically from the service booths.
