Brac Bank hosts 'global alliance for banking on values' summit
A three-day summit of the Global Alliance for Banking on Values (GABV) will start tomorrow in Dhaka to share ideas and find solutions for sustainable run of the financial industry.
The GABV—a network of 70 independent banks, credit unions and microfinance institutions from 43 countries—uses finance to deliver sustainable economic, social and environmental development.
Brack Bank is hosting the conference at the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden hotel, which will be attended by more than 50 delegates, particularly CEOs and managing directors of member-banks.
The theme of the conference is 'From perspectives to action: transformational practice in action'.
This is the second time the GABV is holding the annual summit in Bangladesh.
Parliament Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury will attend the inaugural ceremony tomorrow.
Brac Bank CEO and Managing Director Selim RF Hussain shared the information at a press conference at the Radisson Dhaka hotel today, where Sunrise Banks (USA) CEO and GABV Chair David Reiling was also present.
