I have been solely focused on ‘Shurongo’: Tama Mirza
National Award winning actress, Tama Mirza has become a household name through her hit web-series and her exceptional performances. This year, she will be working in Raihan Rafi's "Shurongo"—which is due to begin shooting this month.
Speaking to The Daily Star, the actress informed us that she is not taking on any new projects, as she is preparing herself for "Shurongo". She also said, "I have been solely focused on this film and have been busy with the preparations for it. I have not been thinking about anything except 'Shurongo'."
In the film, Tama will be starring opposite Afran Nisho, who will be playing the character of a cave digger. Directed by Raihan Rafi, the actress shared that a majority of the film would be shot inside of a cave, claiming she finds this sort of situation "challenging".
"Afran Nisho bhai is a flawless actor, who is amazing at his craft. I hope together, we can present a good cinema for the audience," said Tama, when asked about her experience with her co-star.
Asked about her thoughts on what makes a quality project, the actress said, "A good script, good director and good acting is the key to a good film."
Tama Mirza currently has two web-series awaiting release—"Buker Modhe Agun" and "Friday". The actress described her character in "Buker Modhe Agun'' to be a difficult one, the kind she has not played before.
On that note, she expressed that she wants to take on more projects and continue to practice her craft in the future.
