Stocks rise for second straight day 

The indices of the Dhaka and Chattogram stock exchanges rose today for the second consecutive day.

The DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), gained 15 points, or 0.25 per cent, to 6,266 at 11:50 am.

Turnover stood at Tk 376 crore.

Of the securities, 126 advanced, 36 declined and 153 remained unchanged.

The Caspi, the all-share price index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange, also added 43 points, or 0.23 per cent, to 18,446.

Of the issues, 61 rose, six retreated, and 53 saw no price movement.
