Rain threatens second ODI after heavy downpour
Following the end of the Bangladesh innings at 6:00 PM, the rain that was expected came pouring down.
After Bangladesh posted 349 for six in the first innings, the Ireland innings was slated to begin by 6:28 PM.
At 7:30 PM, the second innings will start losing overs. A minimum of 20 overs has to be played in the second innings to get a result and the match has to begin by 9:33 PM. The innings according to the latest cut-out time, has to end by 10:57 PM. Failure to start the match by 9:33 PM will result in the suspension of the match
A lot will depend on how fast the groundsmen can prepare the ground with heavy rain taking over. At the moment the rain has been unrelenting as we wait for an update on the rain. By the time the report was filed, visibility was sharply declining.
