Stocks gain in morning trade

All indices of Dhaka and Chattogram stock exchanges rose in the morning session today.

The DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), added 7 point, or 0.12 per cent, to 6,212 at 11:15 am.

Turnover stood at Tk 103 crore.

Of the securities, 74 advanced, 23 declined and 150 remained unchanged.

The Caspi, the all-share price index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange, lost 24 points, or 0.13 per cent, to 18,349.

Of the issues, 25 rose, seven retreated, and 41 saw no price movement.

Turnover of the port city bourse stood at Tk 5.75 crore at 11:20 am.
