Ronaldo frustrated as Al-Nassr kick off season with goalless draw
Cristiano Ronaldo was cut a frustrated figure after his Saudi Pro League side, Al Nassr, played out a goalless draw against a familiar Al-Shabab in an Arab Club Champions Cup group-stage fixture on Friday.
Ronaldo, however, was introduced in the 62nd minute by head coach Luis Castro. The Portuguese superstar had a couple of half-chances to break the deadlock: saw his shot deflected wide and was caught offside in a threatening position on another occasion.
The former Real Madrid and Manchester United star was visibly frustrated once the game ended – as experienced by a cameraperson on the field who approached the five-time Ballon d'Or-winner near the touchline.
Ronaldo, while he was busy hydrating, had splashed water in the direction of the cameraperson and gestured him to head elsewhere.
Up next, Ronaldo and Co -- who earlier geared up with pre-season friendlies against PSG and Inter Milan -- play Tunisian outfit Monastir on Monday.
