Swastika likely to be paired with Chanchal Chowdhury

Kolkata's beloved actress Swastika Mukherjee is making headlines with speculations of an exciting collaboration in the Bangladeshi film industry. If all goes as planned, audiences from both Bengals can anticipate seeing Swastika share the screen with renowned actor Chanchal Chowdhury.

This intriguing news was reported by Kolkata media, shedding light on Swastika's venture into a Bangladeshi film project. According to sources, the actress has already signed a contract for the upcoming movie, with shooting scheduled to commence in November this year.

Swastika shared her enthusiasm for the project, citing a compelling screenplay that instantly drew her in. The actress expressed her inability to turn down the opportunity after hearing the film's storyline.

An advance payment from the producer has already been secured by Swastika for her role in the movie. However, the shooting schedule for Chanchal Chowdhury remains pending. Once his schedule aligns, production for this much-anticipated film can begin.

Chanchal Chowdhury, on the other hand, was surprised by this news, as he clarified that while discussions are ongoing with multiple directors in Kolkata, nothing has been finalised yet. The actor expressed his confusion over the published news and said that Kolkata media didn't even contact him about the matter.

The director of the untitled project, Himu Akram informed The Daily Star that he contacted with Chanchal Chowdhury recently, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

Chanchal is currently occupied with filming Mostofa Sarwar Farooki's "Monogamy". He emphasised his need to complete ongoing projects before locking in new ones.

Meanwhile, Swastika is currently in Kolkata. She took a break from shooting due to medical issues. After the surgery, she will be back shooting soon.
