The "Wolverine" star Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra-Lee have decided to end their 27 years of marriage.

They have shared a joint statement to announce their decision to split for good.

"We have been blessed to spend nearly three decades as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey has changed, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth," Hugh and Deborra wrote in a statement to People.

"Our family has always been and will always be our top priority. We embark on the next chapter with thanks, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your patience in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives," the statement continued.

The former couple are parents to their two adoptive children, Oscar and Ava.

Hugh and Deborra began dating in 1995 after meeting on the set of the Australian television series "Corelli". They married less than a year later on April 11, 1996.

Deborra is 13 years older than Hugh, and yet fans adored the couple for being faithful and respectful towards each other.

In April of this year, the couple celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary. Hugh wrote a heartwarming Instagram post for Deborra.

"I adore you to pieces. We've built a lovely family together. And then there's life. Hugh wrote in April of this year, Your laughter, spirit, generosity, humour, cheekiness, courage, and loyalty are an incredible gift to me," read the post.

The duo recently cheered on players at the 2023 Wimbledon tennis event. Hugh and Deborra also attended this year's Met Gala together in May.
