Both roads through Bangabandhu Square in Gulistan were entirely gridlocked for hours yesterday afternoon, mostly due to a huge number of buses, many of which were headed outside the capital. Footpaths lined with hawkers, rickshaws being driven haphazardly and scores of jaywalkers only worsened the situation.
