After a major data breach controversy earlier this month, the highly anticipated concert "Magical Night 2.0" is set to take place today at the Bangladesh Army Stadium, featuring an exciting lineup of Bangladeshi and Pakistani artistes.

Organised by Triple Time Communication, the event will feature an exciting lineup featuring Pakistani musicians Atif Aslam, and Abdul Hannan, alongside Bangladesh's Tahsan Khan, Kaaktaal, and the local qawwali band Kashida.

The controversy arose on October 23 when it was revealed that the ticketing platform Ticket Tomorrow had exposed sensitive personal information of over 5,000 concert-goers, including names, emails, phone numbers, and ticket details. The breach, discovered by a developer, highlighted vulnerabilities in the platform's security. The Daily Star verified the leaked data by cross-checking with affected individuals and inspecting the described flaws.

While the specifics of the breach and the public Google Drive link containing the data were withheld to protect user privacy, the incident raised significant concerns among fans. The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) later arrested Arif Arman, a 30-year-old linked to the cyberattack, and assured that steps are being taken to secure the platform.

Despite these challenges, organisers have ensured that preparations for the event are complete and have promised a seamless experience for attendees. Gates will open at 1pm, with the performances beginning at 4pm.

Atif Aslam, the headline act, is particularly anticipated. This will be his fourth performance in Dhaka, following appearances in 2013, 2016, and earlier this year in April. Known for his chart-topping hits such as "O Lamhe O Baatein,""Aadat," and "Tere Bin," Atif is scheduled to take the stage at 8pm tonight. He arrived in Dhaka yesterday and confirmed his participation through a video message.

Tickets for the event sold out in advance, with categories priced at Tk 10,000 (Magical Zone), Tk 4,500 (Front Zone), and Tk 2,500 (General).

Asif Mahmud, adviser to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, has also confirmed his attendance.
