Ashfaque Nipun's cop-crime thriller "Mohanagar 2" claimed the Best Series award in the popular category at the Blender's Choice-The Daily Star OTT & Digital Content Awards 2023, receiving overwhelming audience votes. Earlier, the franchise had also won the Best Film/Drama/Series award for "Mohanagar" in the Critics' category during the second edition of the award show.

The other nominees were "Ami Ki Tumi", "Guti", "Mobaroknama", "Mohanagar 2", and "Myself Allen Swapan".

The second season picks up exactly where the first left off. This nine-episode series portrays a composed OC Harun (Mosharraf Karim) being interrogated by members of an unknown force in plain clothe. As the psychological games unfold, it becomes evident that the investigation is linked to an incident from two years earlier, where Harun is accused of releasing the prime suspect in a high-profile case.

Both seasons of "Mohanagar" have received critical acclaim, with the second season ending on a gripping note that paves the way for another sequel.
