Prime Bank gets first female independent director
Nazia Kabir, a partner at the legal advisory firm "Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed & Associates" and an advocate at the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, has recently joined Prime Bank PLC as the first female independent director.
Nazia is a member of both the Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association and the Dhaka Bar Association, the bank said in a press release.
With over two decades of experience, she has been providing legal counsel on various matters, including company and banking law, project financing and public-private partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, mediation and arbitration proceedings.
Nazia holds a Bar-at-Law degree from Lincoln's Inn Society in the United Kingdom.
She obtained her bachelor's degree in laws from the University of Wolverhampton and master's degree in international trade law from Brunel University, and a Postgraduate Diploma from City University.
