Dhaka stocks gain for second day

Stocks began the week on a positive note, gaining for the second consecutive day of trading. 

The DSEX, the premier index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, was up 0.69 percent as of 11:04 am today. 

The index gained 35.88 points to 5,220.33 in the morning trade. 

The market movement showed a positive momentum, as 275 issues advanced, 31 declined, and 59 remained unchanged. 

Total turnover stood at Tk 88.35 crore. 

Shares of Legacy Footwear rose the highest with a 10 percent jump, while Jute Spinners fell more than 7 percent.

CSE All Share Price Index declined 0.69 percent, losing 99.59 points to 14,335.85.
